Mauerpark is a bonafide Berlin institution. Great to stroll around and browse, it’s no surprise that half the city ends up there on Sundays. With its unique fusion of private sellers and Berlin Art traders, it’s best to tweak your bargaining style according to the vendor you approach – though a charming smile should nearly always deliver you some good favour. Post-shopping, the park itself is a great place to chill and grab a bite to eat. The weekly karaoke show that kicks off at 3pm at the amphitheatre is well worth sticking around for, demonstrated by the big crowds it’s known for attracting. And who knows, if you’ve got enough fire in your belly, you might find yourself joining in the fun and singing a song or two yourselves!
