Chilli burgers. BBQ burgers. Tofu burgers. Cheese burgers. These and more are all flying off the grill at Hamburger Heaven, a little kiosk in Kreuzberg. This isn’t Berlin’s most high-spec gourmet burger joint – that would be The Bird in Prenzlauer Berg. But for a good old-fashioned burger, we think it’s unbeatable. Aside from a tiny caravan offering rather intimate ’indoor seating‘, it’s outdoor tables only, so we’d recommend visiting on a fine day. Traditional hamburgers go for 3.50 euro, or choose free-range or organic for five euro. To finish, walk off your meal with a post-burger stroll along the canal.
