FOOD: Italian pizza to die for

FOOD: Italian pizza to die for

The all-Italian restaurant Casolare in Kreuzberg is one of those rare hyped-up gems that never fails to deliver. Ever. Located on just off Admiralsbruecke, its riverside location guarantees the restaurant steady clientele to rest upon its wooden benches outside, but that ain’t the only thing to keep customers returning.

Boasting a menu with around 30 different Neopolitan-style pizza varieties, there is also a daily changing menu of pasta, risotto and other modern Italian classics. But Casolare’s famous handcrafted, light and flavoursome pizza that shines brightest. If you like to inject some fire into your bellies, we totally recommend tucking into the house chilli oil – gorgeous dribbled on top of the Prataiola (parma ham, rocket and parmesan – 9,90EUR) or the Vegetariana (aubergina, courgette, red pepper, mozzarella – 7,70 EUR).
